When I attend functions these days I notice both our mummy's and young ladies wearing "THE RED LIP" (which is mostly in matte). So a friend of my enquired of me on how to wear your red lipstick the perfect way and I thought to also share with you too.
So if you ever wondered exactly how red lipstick will look on you, if t will fit you at all or if it will be too flashy. Also if it does, how you will apply it to give that perfect look.
You need: a lip exfoliator, a red lip liner, a well pigmented red lipstick, a quality lip brush and toilet paper to blot.
Exfoliate your lips, if you dont have a lip exfoliator you can improvise by mixing granulated sugar with your lip balm or vaseline and rub generously over your lips using the tip of your index finger, while applying a bit of pressure on it will really work into the lips. This will help to get the dry skin off and leave your lips nice and smooth. Then use your red lip liner to outline your lips, this will help to keep the lipstick from bleeding, you can also fill your lips with your lip liner, that way it will stay on for a longer time. Take your lip brush and run it over the tip of the lipstick a few times and then using the brush apply it to your lips, blend it evenly on your lips, then take the toilet paper and put it between your lips and lightly close them a few times to blot it. Repeat a couple of times to make sure the lipstick get set perfectly.
